(10am - 1pm both Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4) We will create an abstract painting using symbols with an intention in mind (in this case words and symbols). This process will strengthen your composition and gestural drawing and keep your focus on shapes rather than color. In this class, students will start with a 12 pound chunk of soapstone and carve a piece of free-standing sculpture.
